Caught by Emotions

A lady cries while the blind man sings a beautiful rendition of a classic Filipino song. In the Philippines, it is not surprising to see people in the streets begging for alms. A sad reality for every Filipinos since not everyone has given the opportunity of a fortunate life. One sunny afternoon in the streets of Taft, Manila, my attention was caught by this emotional scenario. There was this blind man with his guitar, sang classic Filipino songs. Flower Garlands

Flower garland sellers are common in the Philippines. Quezon City, Philippines is one of the largest cities in the country. With the vast and rapid changes, the undeniable fact of poverty still exists. I stayed for about a year in Quezon City for my medical licensure examination review classes. I was in Fairview and my stay was indeed memorable. I met people and made friends with them. Somehow, they touched my life and they will always be cherished. These are my classmates! They have been doing that for a long time already and they have no choice because the little amount they gain from it will be spent for their classes the next day. The little girls never knew my name that time so, they do call me "sir bente-bente" (sir 20-20). That was cute! Hehe. Twenty, for...

Like other love teams, they call theirs as KRYSHIAN! Krysh was my med classmate and we witnessed a winding road in her search of her most awaited love story. Yes, everyone has their own stories to tell and now, is another story to celebrate love and life. <3 I knew IJ since 2014 and I really admire him for his determination and persistence... hahaha. ;) I was once an accomplice in his birthday surprise for Krysh. And one of the few people who knew about his proposal plans for krysh! Thanks IJ for the trust. :) The Proposal Ring. :) Then she said, "YES"... and after the long wait, the...
