One Night In Boracay

Travelling unplanned is fun.

The white sand and the blue sky of the Island of Boracay.

That was friday afternoon when I decided to visit Boracay unplanned. It is a 5-hour van ride or a 6-hour bus ride from Iloilo Tagbak Terminal in Jaro, Iloilo City.

Right after work, I rushed to the terminal for the day's last trip van schedule. For about 200+ pesos, I had a zigzag road experience but it was really fun-filled! We left Iloilo at around 6pm and arrived in Aklan at around 10 in the evening. I road the pumped boat going to the Island. The water was calm and to my surprise, a lot of tourists were still around that time.

In the island, I immediately looked for an inn to stay and that was a real struggle since almost all hotels were fully booked. Luckily, I found a very cheap hotel located beach front so I didn't loose the opportunity for it was difficult to get one for an on the spot overnight stay.

What to expect in La Boracay?

A pumped boat ride awaits you. This is the main trasport system that will fetch you back and forth the Island and Aklan main land.

Enjoy the relaxing white sand and savor the breath-taking blue sea and sky.

Discover the fun the Island may offer.

Shops and various stuff are available around the island.

I enjoyed my Boracay experience and will surely go back very soon. If you're palnning to visit too, always keep this in mind... Nature is God's gift so we should take care of it. :)

May God bless you all.

Tatay in Disguise

Do you believe that souls of departed family members go back during special occasions? Maybe it's coincidental to some but what if it happens in every special moment of your life? February 12, 2015. When nanay was alone at home, I knew you were there, A butterfly who stayed with her in the room until she felt okay and stopped crying. When I came back from Manila, We knew you were there, A butterfly who was at our door step and never left until the...

Money in Peanuts

Everyday of their lives, they spend most of their time in bus terminals to sell peanuts, boiled quail eggs, fish crackers, bottled water and the like. I bought a plastic of peanut for 10 pesos and a bottled water for 15 pesos. The 25 pesos I gave him meant a lot to him. The extreme heat of the sun is nothing for him.  I  admire these people because they are doing it for a very significant reason. Their little income gives their family joy and hopes to continue life no matter what. Some are raising a family, some are helping their parents, some have no choice but to do so because of lack of education and it is very hard for them to compete in the field of employment. I salute them because of the simple joys they bring to the commuters and travelers. I hope that they will be blessed with a healthier body as they continue their journey in life. :)
