Part 2 - Pacquiao Country: Gen San at its Best!

My day began with a BIG smile and a positive vibe!
The hotel serves breakfast for free! Good enough for a very affordable rate. I even didn't bother to have two spoons that time.

Kutsara't kutsara.

Saranggani Highlands was in my itinerary and I rented a cab for my transportation.

Meet Manong Taxi Driver :)

The travel lasted for about 30 - 40 minutes and it was a fun ride with Manong. He gave me some inputs about the Province and I learned a lot.

From the highway, we passed by a hilly and rough road  leading to the Highlands. For a hundred pesos worth of any products they're selling, you can already enjoy the amenities.

The view was breathtaking! It's a place where the meeting of the land, sea and sky is at its best.

I spent an hour for my Highland tour and thereafter, we went down the city. We passed by the Fish Port, Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao's old house, their Convenient store managed by Jinky Pacquiao's twin and of course - THE WILD CARD GYM!

Pacman seldom visits the gym unless for a training.

Well, my day wouldn't be complete without meeting these wonderful pipz!

First, I met Pao! The last time I saw him was last 2011 in a National Conference for Christian medical schools. From a graduating highschool student now he is a biology college professor and a researcher!

We ate in a Mexican-themed restaurant which I can highly recommend for you to try.

We walked through the city streets and went mall hopping too. Sm, Gaisano, KCC and Robinson malls are just a walking distance from each other but this one's pretty cool.

Zumba! Pinoys are health conscious nowadays and it's a good sign!

An amazing man-made falls, an eye stopper for mall enthusiasts.

Second - the Bride to be (her last day as a SINGLE lady)... my dear friend and med classmate, Krysh!

"Mani" and "Pedi" for the Big day!

After her self-pampering moments, we proceeded to Green Leaf Hotel to meet the husband to be - IJ.

The wonderful facade of Green Leaf Hotel which welcomes the guests.

Third, was the cool and the hospitable family of Krysh.

With the Joquino sisters! I always have a great time with you guys!

With Mr. and Mrs. FUNDAR. :) My best wishes goes to you both!

Tomorrow's the big day for Krysh and IJ and I am looking forward for a wedding at its best!

Part 3 is up next! :)

Part 2 - Hidden Treasures of Antique: Malalison Island

One fine sunny Sunday morning turned into a memorable day for us - me, Yen, Jucee and Kevin. Wonderful sunny morning - best time to conquer the island. Against the light. What's important is the background. Hehe. :) The pump boat ride was fun and smooth sailing. Our trip was blessed for it did not rain, hassle free and what we felt was all excitement. Manila Stories 3: Street Foods in Manila

I was once fond of buying streetfoods. Turning back time, it was also one of the enjoyed past times I had with my friends. Street foods are ready to eat goodies sold in public places. Often, from a portable food booth, a cart or some in food trucks. According to a study from Food and Agriculture Organization, 2.5 billion people eat street food everyday. Today, people try and purchase street food for some reasons: It is sold for a reasonable price, it is flavorful, to experience an ethnic and authentic cuisines and some for a nostalgic experience. In the Philippines, street foods are very common too. Here are some of Pinoy favorite street foods to choose from: Calamares: deeply fried squid cut as rings covered dipped in egg and flour. Price: P3.00 Boiled banana, banana turon (banana on a lumpia wrapper topped with mascovado sugar) and banana fritters. Price: P10.00 - P15.00 Fried chicken: deeply fried crispy chicken.
