The Vendor

Lucky are those who have cars for they can comfortably travel.

The early morning struggle of the students going to school and people going to work for a jeepney is like lining up in a fancy ride in an amusement park or a box office hit of your favorite actors. But what if you are struggling for an earning with all the problems in the world on your shoulders?

One time, when I was riding a jeepney, there was this "ale" carrying her heavy loads of Indian Mango which is incidentally the fruit in season. She was going to the bus terminal in her hopes to sell all the fruits she brought. A lot of things ran on my mind. What if indian mangoes end its season? What will the "ale" sell? What will be her source of income? What will her family expect from her?

The reality in this world is really a mixture of heartbreaking or heartwarming scenarios. Are those who are fortunate to be well off had also thought of this? If yes, then it's a good sign that kind hearted individuals also exist. But unfortunately, some really don't care. Are those of the middle class knows about this? Yes, most of the time but they can't hand a help since what they have are also just enough for their families. How about those from the lower strata? They knew about their hardships and other's in life and they are aware that they need to keep struggling. It's good to hear that some is trying their best to overcome their difficulties but some don't and develops a deviant behavior and that's the saddest part.

Well, we really can't tell what lies ahead of us, where life may bring us... I just pray that one day, everything will be changed and all the happiness that one must experience must be deserved by the deserving.
